Why Chiropractic Care?

Chiropractors specialize in spinal and joint alignments, including the muscles and tissues that connect them. Your brain, spinal cord and the rest of your nerves control every aspect of your body. That is why spinal health is impertinent in chiropractic care.

Chiropractic

Adjustment

Spinal misalignment can cause nerve tissues to stretch, chafe, or become irritated. These “subluxations” can produce a variety of health problems.

During an adjustment, your joints undergo quick, gentle stretching of the spinal joints. At that time you may hear a cracking or popping noise. This is caused by small pockets of air or bubbles, which are in the fluid that surrounds your joints. After this treatment, you may feel more movement in your back and some immediate relief. However, the muscles may still be sore and tight.

COLD LASER

THERAPY

Light and laser therapy is a safe and highly effective treatment method that offers a rapid, drug free and non- invasive healing solution. It’s a safe, effective and painless therapy that activates the body’s  natural healing systems to relieve pain, increase joint mobility, increase tissue integrity and promote cell regeneration.

Laser therapy will improve results for conditions such as:
  • Arthritis

  • Muscle tension and spasms

  • Sprains and strains

  • Nerve issues

  • Acute and chronic pain

  • Post-operative wounds that result in a loss of range of motion

HOW IT WORKS
The body absorbs the laser light on a cellular level and transforms it into chemical energy, which the body then uses to commence its own tissue regeneration and healing. This acceleration of healing in turn decreases pain, edema and inflammation.

Active Release

Technique

A.R.T. is a soft tissue treatment technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves.

Injuries to soft tissue can result in inflammation and swelling. The body responds to the inflammation with scar tissue in an attempt to stabilize the affected area. This scar tissue binds up and results in restricting circulation, inhibiting nerve function, causing ongoing friction and pressure, and usually results in the production of more cross fibres and adhesions.

Chiropractic Treatment

HOW IT WORKS

The A.R.T. provider uses his or her hands to evaluate abnormal tissues, which are then treated by combining precisely directed tension with specific patient movements in an attempt to break down the built-up scar tissue.

It is common to feel a duplication of your pain symptoms during the treatment (a good indication that the problem has been identified).

Graston Technique is an innovative, patented form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions. The technique utilizes specially designed stainless-steel instruments to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation.

Graston Technique can help:
  • Decrease overall time of treatment

  • Foster faster rehabilitation/recovery

  • Reduce need for anti-inflammatory medications

  • Resolve chronic conditions thought to be permanent

Cupping

Cupping is a therapy in which plastic cups are suctioned onto the skin’s surface through negative pressure. Oil or lotion is first applied to the area being treated and the cup is moved around to mobilize the tissue. Marks left from cupping may occur after treatment.
