Your First Chiropractic Visit
At the first appointment, the patient can expect a detailed medical history as well as a physical exam to aid in diagnosing the existing problem. The practitioner will discuss the findings and give a diagnosis and detailed treatment plan to help recovery. The treatment plan may include spinal or extremity adjustments, myofascial techniques, as well as incorporating other modalities. Stretches, exercises, and postural advice may be prescribed to correct biomechanical imbalances and improve strength and stability. Wellness and lifestyle recommendations may include proper nutrition, exercise and improved sleep habits to aid in your recovery. We often collaborate with other health practitioners such as medical doctors, physical therapists, and massage therapists for a comprehensive health focus. The initial appointment usually takes between 30-40 minutes and comfortable non-restrictive clothing should be worn.
Missed Appointment/Late Cancellation Policy //
As a courtesy to other clients, our providers and therapists, we ask that you give more than 3 hours notice if you cannot make it to your scheduled appointment. Our policy is to charge for late cancellations and missed appointments at the rate of the scheduled visit, billed directly to you, and payable prior to your next visit. SGI, WCB and other insurances do not cover the cost of a missed appointment. We ask that if you call to cancel an appointment before or after office hours that you please leave a message on our voicemail. Please help us serve you better by keeping scheduled appointments. Do you direct bill to my insurance?
The only insurances that our clinic currently will direct bill for is SGI, WCB, RCMP members, Veteran Affairs and National Defence. For all other insurance plans the patient will have to pay for treatments up front and then submit their receipt to their personal insurance for reimbursement.
Do you need a doctor's referral to see a provider at your clinic?
Our clinic does not require a Doctor's referral to see a Chiropractor or any other providers we have here. That being said some insurance plans do require you to have a MD referal in order to be covered. Check with your insurance company for their requirements before booking your appointment.
